Pod Warden — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 17 September 2026
Pod Warden is a mobile app for players of EVE Online that monitors planetary industry colonies, industry jobs, skill training, market orders, wallet and in-game notifications and sends push notifications. This policy explains what data the app and its server (eve.misocoding.fi) process and why.
Who is responsible
The data controller is MiSoCoding Oy, a company registered in Finland. Contact: privacy@podwarden.app.

Legal basis (GDPR)
- Providing the service you request: account, monitoring of colonies, industry jobs, skill training, market orders and in-game notifications, notifications (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working: server logs (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Service providers
- UpCloud — server hosting, data center in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (EU).
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service — delivery of push notifications. They receive your push token and the notification text (for example colony names and times).
- The publisher of EVE Online — the game's login and API, from which your game data is read.
Google and Apple may process data outside the EU under their own safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
- Account, characters, colony, industry job, skill queue and market order data and settings: while your account exists.
- Closed market orders are listed for 7 days. In-game notifications are kept for 30 days, wallet journal and transactions for 90 days.
- Colonies you no longer have in the game and delivered industry jobs are deleted at the next update.
- Sessions expire after 90 days without use. Temporary login codes are deleted within two hours.
- Push tokens are deleted when you log out, when the device unregisters, or when the push service reports them invalid.
- Web server logs are rotated daily and kept for 14 days.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your data: in the app, Settings → Delete account removes your account, characters, all game data read from EVE, reminders and devices, and revokes the EVE tokens. Without the app, you can delete your account at eve.misocoding.fi/delete-account by logging in with EVE Online. Removing a single character deletes its data too.
- You can revoke Pod Warden's access at any time on the EVE Online website (authorized applications).
- You can turn notifications off in the app or in your device settings.
- Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, and to object to processing. Write to privacy@podwarden.app.
- You can complain to a supervisory authority, in Finland the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
Website analytics
On our website (podwarden.app and eve.misocoding.fi — the landing page, not the app, the login or the account deletion pages) we measure visits with Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, only after you accept it in the cookie banner. Google Analytics then sets cookies and processes your IP address, device and browser information and the pages you visit. The provider is Google Ireland Limited; data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Analytics data is kept for at most 14 months. You can withdraw consent at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page; declining has no effect on the site or the app.
Security
All connections use HTTPS. EVE tokens are encrypted at rest, session tokens are stored only as hashes, and the login handshake protects against intercepted redirects. On your device the session token is kept in the system keychain / keystore.
Children
Pod Warden is not directed at children. EVE Online has its own minimum age for players.
Changes
We will update this page when the app starts processing data differently, and change the effective date above.
